Position Summary Overview

We are looking for a vibrant preschool teacher to educate, care for, and inspire the young minds at our school. Using a variety of teaching methods, including artistic expression, educational play, and storytelling, you will teach children to identify shapes, colors, numbers, and letters, while providing them with foundational life skills and preparing them for the next stage of formal education.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  To be an effective teacher – to plan, organize and resource a stimulating classroom environment which will facilitate children’s independent learning and enable children to maximize their full potential

  To monitor children’s progress, keep meaningful records and evaluate performance in line with school policy. 

  
  


• 
  

  Communicate information about children’s progress and targets, including the creation of full reports. Your daily tasks will include planning, preparing, communicating with parents, empowering your team, and developing the overall early years program.

  To take responsibility for the welfare and safety of all the children in our school 

  
  


• 
  

  Committing to active professional learning in order to grow as a teacher and a person 

  
  


• 
  

  To establish and maintain excellent home-school links with parents and carers 

  
  


• 
  

  Exhibiting emotional intelligence through a positive and supportive attitude, contributing to a positive ethos for learning 

  
  

Qualifications

• 
  

  Hold an educational qualification at a Bachelor’s degree level, preferably in early years education 

  
  


• 
  

  Have a minimum of 3-4 years teaching experience in international preschools.

  
  


• 
  

  Have an established record demonstrating resilience, flexibility, collaboration, and creativity

  
  


• 
  

  Excellent language abilities in the language of instruction and main local language (where English is not the local language)

  
  

Good to have:

• 
  

  Knowledge of International preschool education especially Finnish Early childhood education is an asset

  
  


• 
  

  Master’s Degree

  
  


• 
  

  Leadership experience in preschools.

  
  


• 
  

  Montessori teaching 

  
  


• 
  

  An international educational setting 

  
  


• 
  

  Finnish education
